Egg Tart Day

10th Feb
Out with valerie lee, shopped alittle, toilet alot ( right val? HAHA :x ), ate lunch @ idk something japanese restaurant. Eat till half way, she went toliet and i ate alone with a set of food + her's and darn funny man, passerby give me those, " weird" face hahaha darn funny man, then went toilet find her HAHA! went cotton on and home tweet home. ^^

11th Feb
Supposed to meet valerie goh and huixiang for steamboat but we too lazy to get out of bed so cancelled x) all like pig now man hahas, mum took halfday and i made egg tarts! yumms fun + nice but hate the washing part.
Ok, Chef Chew will teach you guys how to make this simple egg tart.
Sigh~ i prefer hongkong's egg tarts skin hahahas


Mum's cheena recipe

Steps: - Make skin of the egg tarts
- Make the "sause"

1) Weight 250g of flour

2) Put the flour into idk that thing call what and "filter"..yea

3) Weigh 80g of soild sugar

4) Put 125ml of hot water into a flask

5)Pour the 90g soild sugar into the hot water and dissolve it completely, put aside to let it cool down completely

6) Weigh 40g of sugar powder and pour them into a empty bowl

7) Cut butter (125g) and put it into the flour.

8) Mixed them well with YOUR HANDS HAHAHA

9) Add the sugar powder 40g into the bowl too and mix realllyyyy well

10) Beat an egg, 1 EGG AH and add into the bowl and..

11) Punch,flip,punch,flip,punch,flip till it feels like a dough and put it into the fridge for 20mins
I13 put frigdge, do sause

Now,do the sause.

1) Pour 200ml of filled milk into the flask. I used Carnation milk

2) Then, beat 3 eggs and put it into a empty bowl

3) Add the 3 eggs into the sugar water which you have dissolved in the beginning
17 add egg with sugar water

4) And add the 200ml of filled milk together,stir the 3 things together
18 add filled milk

5) Filter them 3 times into another bowl and back the to flask so that the unbeaten egg wont be able to flow through

Ok, sause done. Now can start doing already..

1) After 20 mins, Take out the Dough in the fridge

2) Roll them into 16-17 balls

Like this.

3) Put one of them into the metal thingy and mould them into the tarts shapes.

4) After moulding them into this shape below, use toothpick and poke 3 holes

5) Send them in oven for 6mins first

6) Ting! open the oven and add the sause into the tarts and put them back to the oven for 8mins and check if is still watery, put for 1.5 mins more.
